Hands-on Training

Put your knowledge into practice in a small group hands-on session. Focus on practical skills to effectively launch ultrasound in your practice.

Objectives: Effectively interpret ultrasound images, produce predictable imaging and learn the basics of guided treatments.

Course length: 1 full day (09:00-17:00)

    Frequently Asked Questions
    If you have not started ultrasound in practice, please begin with the online learning course. This is self-directed online modules you can do in your own time and is the ideal start to your learning and will give you all the basics.
    You will be able to understand the principles of ultrasound and the terminology. The online curriculum covers how to make an image, and basic ultrasound anatomy, in addition to more detailed anatomy of the most common treatment areas in the face. There’s also some practical tips on how to set up and maintain your device, whether you are using a cart system or a handheld.
    You can join on to our hands-on session! The hands-on is a small group environment focusing on putting into practice what you have learnt in the online course. In the hands-on day you will practice producing good images, recognising anatomy, and making sure you are getting predictable scans each time. After this day you will be able to effectively scan and use your ultrasound device for vascular mapping your patient to screen them prior to injecting.
    After using ultrasound for a little while you may want to home your skills in things like ultrasound guided filler or complication management. This is where you might choose a mentoring session. This day is all about improving your skills, making sure you are scanning effectively, and practising ultrasound-guided treatments. You can choose the areas you wish to focus on, whether you want to start with simple guided procedures or practice more technically demanding treatments under ultrasound guidance such as the temple or tear trough.
