WHAT IS IT:  In sunny Arizona, learn to use state of the art ultrasound equipment and interpret scans for safer practice and enhanced clinical decision-making. With one lead instructor and two course facilitators, you’ll get a 4:1 instructor to learner ratio!

Dr MJ Rowland-Warmann

LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Dr MJ Rowland-Warmann is the founder and lead clinician at Smileworks Liverpool. She is a dentist, and holds Masters degrees in Orthodontics and Aesthetic Medicine. Her practice is limited to non-surgical aesthetics with a special area of interest in the management of dermal filler complications using ultrasound, accepting national and international referrals for the resolution of filler-related incidents.

She lectures on dermal filler complication management and founded the Smileworks HUB, a training academy for medical professionals to advance their skills in aesthetic medicine and ultrasound. She is a speaker for Clarius Mobile Ultrasound, GE Healthcare and Galderma.  Dr Rowland-Warmann is an advocate for greater safety in aesthetics and has been widely published in industry and national media to raise standards within aesthetics.

PA Kristina Cadwell graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2004. She then completed the Physician Assistant program at A.T. Still University graduating with a Masters of Medical Science degree in 2007.

Kristina has been working in the Aesthetic Medical field for over 15 years. She is the founder and owner of Vibrant Skin Bar Medical Clinic and Vibrant Skincare. She is certified in neurotoxin cosmetic injection, dermal fillers, chemical peels, PDO threads, and laser therapy. Her special interests include facial balancing, anti-aging medicine, skincare, nutraceuticals, medical weight loss and holistic medicine. She is well-known for producing natural results and her extensive knowledge in diet and exercise help her patients achieve vibrant skin from the inside out.

COURSE FACILITATOR

Jenna Hilton, PA-C, has been practicing since 2009, specializing in Medical Aesthetics, Internal Medicine, and Regenerative Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University. In 2023, she completed a Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and became Board Certified in Functional and Integrative Medicine. She also holds certification in Peptide Therapy. Since 2012, Jenna has been injecting neurotoxin and dermal fillers. Her areas of expertise include the anatomy of aging, ultrasound therapy in aesthetics, skin resurfacing, PDO threads, hormone and peptide therapies, and medically supervised weight loss.

A passionate educator, Jenna has taught at Arizona State, Midwestern, and A.T. Still Universities. She co-founded Vibrant EDU and regularly provides one-on-one training for injectors. As a National Trainer for Allergan, Galderma, and Revanesse, she ranks in the top 3% of Allergan Aesthetics trainers. Since 2020, she has taught Aesthetic and Advanced Injectable Courses at National Laser Institute, where she filmed on-demand courses covering advanced injectables, PRP/PRF, neurotoxin, filler, sclerotherapy, Kybella, and advanced anatomy and complication management. Jenna has been named Preceptor of the Year and serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Midwestern University.

    Frequently Asked Questions
    If you have not started ultrasound in practice, please begin with the online learning course. This is self-directed online modules you can do in your own time and is the ideal start to your learning and will give you all the basics.
    You will be able to understand the principles of ultrasound and the terminology. The online curriculum covers how to make an image, and basic ultrasound anatomy, in addition to more detailed anatomy of the most common treatment areas in the face. There’s also some practical tips on how to set up and maintain your device, whether you are using a cart system or a handheld.
    You join Dr MJ’s hands-on training in Phoenix on 25th January 2025! The hands-on is a small group environment focusing on putting into practice what you have learnt in the online course. In the hands-on day, you will practice producing good images, recognising anatomy, and making sure you are getting predictable scans each time. After this day you will be able to effectively scan and use your ultrasound device for vascular mapping your patient to screen them prior to injecting.
    After using ultrasound for a little while you may want to home your skills in things like ultrasound guided filler or complication management. This is where you might choose a mentoring session at our homebase in the UK. This day is all about improving your skills, making sure you are scanning effectively, and practising ultrasound-guided treatments. You can choose the areas you wish to focus on, whether you want to start with simple guided procedures or practice more technically demanding treatments under ultrasound guidance such as the temple or tear trough.
