Small-group practical training (max 12 participants, max 6 injecting spaces).
Focused on identifying, treating, and dissolving filler using ultrasound.

PLEASE NOTE: Injecting spaces are limited to 6 providers. If you wish to inject you must bring one dissolving model, one filler-injecting model (temple or tear trough), and hold a valid New Hampshire state licence.

The two-day course fee includes 12 months access to both online courses (Foundation and Advanced). Single-day bookings include only the respective online course. After 12 months, you will be offered a subscription.

Dr MJ Rowland-Warmann

LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Dr MJ Rowland-Warmann is the founder and lead clinician at Smileworks Liverpool. She is a dentist, and holds Masters degrees in Orthodontics and Aesthetic Medicine. Her practice is limited to non-surgical aesthetics with a special area of interest in the management of dermal filler complications using ultrasound, accepting national and international referrals for the resolution of filler-related incidents.

She lectures on dermal filler complication management and founded the Smileworks HUB, a training academy for medical professionals to advance their skills in aesthetic medicine and ultrasound. She is a speaker for Clarius Mobile Ultrasound, GE Healthcare and Galderma.  Dr Rowland-Warmann is an advocate for greater safety in aesthetics and has been widely published in industry and national media to raise standards within aesthetics.

Jennifer Fleming is the founder of The Alchemy Clinic, a medical aesthetic and wellness clinic located in Manchester, NH. With twelve years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, she has worked in various fields, including emergency medicine, critical care, and medical aesthetics. Jennifer has a strong interest in incorporating ultrasound into medical aesthetics for both complication management and everyday practice.

As the Vice President of the Aesthetic Medical Providers of New Hampshire (AMPNH), she is dedicated to advancing the field of medical aesthetics through legislative reform, community building, and transparency in aesthetic practice. Additionally, Jennifer shares her passion for teaching as a trainer for Revance and is currently pursuing her Masters in Aesthetic Medicine.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I start with ultrasound?
If you have not started ultrasound in practice, this two-day course is perfect for you. This course includes self-direct online modules from our Foundation Facial Ultrasound Course and Advanced Facial Ultrasound Course that you will complete before arriving, plus two hands-on training days in Manchester.

If you’ve already completed our Foundation course, there is also the option to join us for the advanced training day only.
What’s the difference between the Foundation and Advanced training days?
Day 1 (Foundation) is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of facial ultrasound, including anatomy recognition, how to produce quality images, and vascular mapping to screen patients prior to injecting. We won’t inject on patients during this day (chicken breast, however, are not spared), and the day will be focused on building your foundational skills.

Day 2 (Advanced) takes your skills to the next level. You’ll get hands-on experience in identifying different filler types, performing guided treatments on live models, and managing complications like necrosis and filler blindness. The Advanced day offers both injecting and non-injecting (observational) options.
What is covered in the online courses?
Foundation Course: You will understand the principles of ultrasound and the terminology. The online curriculum covers how to make an image, basic ultrasound anatomy, and more detailed anatomy of the most common treatment areas in the face. There are also practical tips on how to set up and maintain your device, whether you are using a cart system or a handheld.

Advanced Course: The advanced online modules cover filler recognition techniques, ultrasound-guided injection protocols, and comprehensive complication management. You’ll learn how to distinguish between different injectable and implantable materials, improve treatment accuracy through guided injections, and develop the skills to identify and treat complication cases.
Can I take both days back-to-back?
Yes, and we actually encourage it! We offer combo bundles for taking both Foundation and Advanced courses together. You’ll save money with our bundle pricing: $5000 for both days with non-injecting on the Advanced day, or $5500 for both days with injecting on the Advanced day.
What are the injecting vs non-injecting options for the Advanced training day?
For our Advanced training day, you have the choice between actively injecting on models or observing your fellow delegates inject. Both options provide the same comprehensive training and learning experience. You simply choose your level of hands-on participation.

If you’re interested in injecting, be sure to secure your spot as soon as possible. Injecting spots are limited to 6 delegates.
What do I need to do if I’m doing the injecting option?
If you choose the injecting option for our Advanced day, you must bring:
  • One dissolving model
  • One filler-injecting model (temple or tear trough)
  • Valid New Hampshire state license

Please ensure you have all requirements before the course date.
Do I need to complete the Foundation course before taking the advanced course?
Yes, the Foundation course is a prerequisite for the Advanced course. This ensures you have the fundamental skills necessary to benefit from the advanced techniques covered.
